Hi sorry if this has already been dealt with elsewhere but a quick look and I couldn’t find anything. 
 

My infotainment system has turned red with a emergency download screen saying “no suitable update found please insert valid update”

What did you do to get this screen, where you updating, going through a menu(s) or did the car/unit do it itself for no apparent reason?

 

Message says "Will reset now" - did it reset?

 

 

The car did it itself when I turned on the ignition. The infotainment system was turned off on the previous journey and all I did was start the car!

It didn’t reset it just went into a loop of the screen going blank and then the red screen coming back. Even when I switched the engine off it remained on in a loop

If this is factory installed unit then pls share your VIN I will send you link for downloading the right software

As my wife's Fabia Mk3 is from 2015 I'd be very interested to know how you get on and resolve this if you could report back when sorted please.

Can I DM on here to share my VIN?

You have to share either part number and current SW version (can be checked in menu SETUP then SYSTEM INFORMATION) or VIN (so I can check part number by myself).

@pab567 i am having the same issue with my polo can i do the same thing with a polo? If I download it how do I then update the head unit?

Emergency download? I need at least VIN of your Polo to identify the part number of your infotainment unit and send you link for matching firmware.

@pab567 It is I can’t send personal messages yet. Once I have download how do I upload it to the car?

You can paste VIN here. If you have red emergency download screen it's enough just to enter SD with unzipped firmware.
