Help Ending a Call via Steering wheel

Featured Replies

Hi all,

For the life of me I can't find how to end a call via steering wheel? My mk3 had a button to do it.

Only way I've found is to use the touch screen which is a bit hard when bouncing all over the road trying to avoid potholes

Is there any way of doing it? Got the columbus version on SEL

Thanks

I don't believe it's possible, at least I've never found it on the Columbus or any such reference in the manual. Maybe it's possible to hang up by voice command? I haven't tried it as I find VC too unreliable to bother using it.

If you have a phone connected via BT, then it's possible. But you need to have BT phone added in the VC. Indeed it's a 3 click step.

If you have a phone connected via Apple Car play, then there is no possibility to end the call via steering wheel.

Pressing the RH steering wheel roller ends calls on my Kodiaq.

As far as I know the VC layout and the infotainment system is not the same in the Kodiaq.

Just pressing the roller wheel doesn't do anything in the Octi when you have an active call via BT. To cancel the call in Octi you need to press the right roller wheel (presumably you already have BT screen selected in the right VC dial), then press the right button and then cancel the call.

Worked it out tonight on drive home.

You have to have the phone widget showing in middle of a dial on the digital dashboard. You can then press the roller wheel to highlight phone widget then press right left/right button which opens a sub menu allowing you to end call, hold, etc

Not the easiest. But will get used to it after a bit of practise.

Next job is to see if it works same way if I initiate call from Android auto. Should do as both over Bluetooth. But I'll wait for daylight to try

I have my car over 3 years now, I use phone in the car quite often and to me ending the call by pressing the button on the main touch screen is quicker and easier.
