Fitted aftermarket android stereo no sound!

Featured Replies

Hello all

new to this forum probably been asked many of time, My Columbus head until is playing up, so I purchased a android touch screen off Facebook, it worked in the Passat that it came out of, with my Mk2 superb 2013 preface lift there’s no sound when I’ve plugged it in at home, so it took the battery off for a hour, made no difference, please can anyone give me some advice

thanks Shaun

Welcome.

It's more than likely going to need coding to your car with VCDS etc.

I know when people upgrade to a Columbus they have to be coded.

Thanks……… hopefully I’ll find somebody close to Widnes Cheshire to code it for me

Do you have Sound System in your Superb?

Yes I have sound system there’s a amp I see under my drivers seat, soon as I put my columbus back in I have sound again when it works

Is it a factory sound system?  I fitted a PIoneer to my 2003 Audi Allroad (I know it's a bit older).  It has Bose and it needed special harness to convert the signal from the head unit for the Bose amp.  I reckon the Skoda factory system could be the same hence no sound.
