A new Skoda driver

Featured Replies

Hello all,

just wanted to follow the suggestions from the forum moderator and introduce myself. I just got a 2016 MK6 Octavia estate in Rio Red with the notorious 2.0 TDI luckily (?) in CRMB edition and DSG, so that I can go in London without the need to pay ULEZ (at least for now).

I have been happily driving my thirsty classic e46 BMW touring on LPG as a daily commuter until recently, however due to the lack of LPG since 2024, it is rather an expensive daily car to run - the straight 6 does 30 MPG on the motorway. It has been a very good and reliable car (believe it or not despite the 180 000 miles on the clock), but now it will have to be SORNed and become the project car for the time being. The rust needs addressing!

So, happy days to come with the new-old family car - the Octavia.
