mk i roomster scout

Featured Replies

Just a note,I've a skoda roomster scout, but i purchased 2 rear shocks, matched with. ebay... does these fit.? No,

If anyone has a scout the shocks are longer!!! if you could fit the shorter shocks, would ride weirdly low.

Shock absorber length does not alter the ride height, if they are too short they risk breaking on full rebound and the vehicle may lift a wheel when cornering at the limit.

The Scout having a higher ride height from longer springs would likely have longer shock absorbers to match.

What make and model of rear shock absorbers did you purchase?

I've looked at the Skoda parts catalogue and there aren't any increased ride height springs and shock absorbers for the Roomster.

Finding suitable rear shock absorbers for the Roomster couldn't be easier, because there is only one OEM part number for the rear shock absorbers on the Roomster...1J9513025F

The standard suspension on the Roomster is similar to increased ride height suspension on other similar cars such as the Fabia MK2. A similar thing happens on the Yeti, where the standard suspension on that car is similar to increased ride height suspension on the Octavia MK2. Hence, you can't get increased ride height suspension on cars like the Roomster and Yeti because their standard suspension is already increased ride height.

thanks, yes couldn't fit the ones advised by ebay so got the proper longer roomster scout ones... but just not happy with road noise from the 205/45/16

not yet checked if the standard roomster alloys, with a matching profile for circumference, would clear the discs? 🙄

The Roomster has either 256x22mm or 288x25mm front brake discs.

If it has the smaller front brake discs then 14" rims will clear the front brake calipers.

If it has the bigger front brake discs then 15" rims will clear the front brake calipers.
