vRS Front Seats Question

Featured Replies

Looking to replace my Superb in the coming months. I had been looking at Cupra Formentors and thought i was going to get one but found out this last week that there are common issues with the leather creasing/pulling/folding on the base and bolsters even after a few months so have been put off the Cupra. I'm wondering what the front seats are like in the vRS longevity and wear & tear wise?

I'm looking at getting a 1-2 year old car and plan on keeping it for around 7-8 years when i plan to retire hence me asking.

Do the side bolsters stand up to everyday use etc.... and is the material used nice and hard wearing?  I do about 8,000 miles a year and they are mostly motorway miles on my commute so not gonna be piling on the miles or be getting in and out more than average etc....

Cheers

I'm quite a stocky guy and I find them very comfy. Especially if you have the heated seats and it's cold outside, I've found that I don't actually want to get out of the car..

I slept in my last one overnight when my dad was rushed into hospital and I wasn't allowed to stay, quiet comfortable but it's not designed for that.

I'm thinking more of how the bolsters and seat material stand up to regular use.

Well the last car I had did 25k before I swapped it, apart from a little dirty (I did try and get them super clean) they didn't show any signs of wear or tear, other than a little grime.

If you're worried I think that you can get covers for them to protect them. My mileage has dropped off a cliff since I was forced to retire and this car has only done 3800 miles in a year so far.
