Hi all,

Got a restricted lease car list; nice problem to have.

choices boil down to

* enyaq 85 non x

* Tesla y lfp rwd

* ionic 5 77kWh rwd

Anyone significantly impressed or disappointed with/or during a change in ownership?

The cost is not that different, for us the Tesla network is still a bit of a plus. Just all the Musk bs puts us off supporting ‘him’. However, pragmatic enough to make the right choice as first time ev users.

Thanks in advance

Looked and test drove a few:

Enyaq vRS Coupé

Drove nice, but it’s quite a tall bulky car, make sure it has the HUD.

Kia EV6

Looks very nice, but no decent Matrix headlights (no distance with then)

Ioniq 5

Not as nice as the EV6

ID.3 Tour (77 kWh)

3 years into ownership and it’s a nice car.

ID.7

Very nice and loaded with toys, nice enough for me to order one!

More and more Tesla Superchargers are being open up to other brands and they are usually cheaper (but not cheap)

Around 50 pence a kWh is acceptable, but now 69 pence, 78 pence, 89 pence is just crazy for private drivers.  Even at 4.5 miles to a kWh so 10 kW giving 45 miles and 10x 78 pence £7.80.    that can be the reality of traveling and public charging.   A diesel can be cheaper.

  • 2 weeks later...

Had a M3P Tesla, just couldn’t get on with it, wipers never worked no phone integration ie Apple CarPlay.

just lots of little things that niggled, then Lynz’s Enyaq arrived and it’s days were numbered, so now have two Enyaqs.
