SPONSORSHIP PLEA - Rustbox Rallies NC500 - Team Puss Puss Puss

Greetings Briskodians,

 

My wife and I are currently participating in the Rustbox Rallies NC500 Banger Rally where the aim is to buy a car for £750 or less, decorate it and drive it around the NC500 route in Scotland, completing various challenges on the way.

 

We've chosen to raise money for Cats Protection so we are Team Puss Puss Puss and with the extensive use of fur, have created the Meowdi from a £495 ebay Audi A4.

 

We've successfully completed day one so far and made it up to Thurso with no problems so hopeful the car will carry on behaving for the rest of the route over the next two days and hopefully get us back home again to Aylesbury on Sunday.

Just letting Haydn know he's had a small donation and a reference to the time his MkI vRS had a whole phesant in the lower grille/ valance. It was a sight to behold

Back home now after a fantastic event. The Meowdi performed faultlessly over the 5 days and 1629 miles we covered. 

 

We even won the award for best decorated car, as voted for by our fellow competitors. 

 

It's not too late to make a donation, the just giving page will remain live for a while yet.

Thanks. Original intention was to just use it for this event but we've had such a brilliant time and become quite attached to the car so it'll be staying. We've already signed up for next year's NC500 event and we'll hopefully take it to others too. It appears we have a new hobby 😄

No timing involved so you can spend as little or long as you want seeing what you want to see on route. Reliability wise, that'll depend on how good your car is. If you do have an issue, there's plenty of people who'll help out to get you going again if needs be.

The basic concept is buy a car for £750 or less, decorate it and drive a route. There were various challenges for us to complete which were designed to send us all in roughly the same direction. The more challenges you completed, the more points you acquired but it's entirely optional as to how many challenges you wanted to do.

 

We had such a good time that we've already booked our place for next year.

That particular challenge was to take a picture at Dunrobin Castle looking "regal as f***"
