SERVICE SCHEDULE

Featured Replies

afternoon all

im after the service schedule  on my 2009 Fabia 3 estate

would anyone have it please

I can give an idea what Skoda used to do or say they did, and what things are now.

?

What engine is it.

Oil & Filter changes every year. 9,400 miles.

Air Filter, Pollen Filter when needed, Brake Fluid changed maybe every 2 years.     Check, inspect, when ever, do what you think needs doing.

This Green Chart is approx.  More recent terms for services.

Another Skoda service  shedule "lets make some money boys" if your car is over 3 year old get it done yourself use genuine parts but don't pay Skoda prices, quoted for our 2 year old Fabia mk3 1.0 TSI £356.00 that was 4 litres Castrol fully synth oil, oil  filter and a pollen filter, bought the oil for £45, filter was £13.75 , and a pollen filter carbon type £38 a new sump plug and washer non genuine but the same £4.95 as they wanted £18 for one, checked the car over no need for brake fluid after 2 years unless you have stupid miles on the clock , this is not done in the shedule but they try and scam you into a air con service £170 plus but you can get this done / checked a lot cheaper if needed eles where, the air does use the new type gas so it is more expensive but most seem to charge you if you need gas or not

  • 1 year later...

Hello all, I've been off Briskoda for a year or two. But I still have my Fabia. It's an estate 1.0 TSI (95), with the DSG box. I bought it new in April 2022 and it's a 2021 model year. I've done 25000 miles in the three years I've had it.

I guess it's unnecessary but I have had the oil and filter changed in 2023, 2024 and will do the same in 2025. The dealer where I live (Poland) says the oil will happily last 24 months, but I'm old-school, I have trust issues, unfortunately.

Will I need the brake fluid changed at 3 years?

Next year, I'm pretty sure that the DSG oil will need to be changed.

Is that right?

Wishing you safe motoring!

There is no schedule, guidelines, recommendations or advice from Skoda / VW for servicing a DQ200 DSG and changing the 2 oils. So not at 40,000 miles / 4 years.

Ultimately, it's up to you! It can't hurt to do some preventative maintenance by doing the coolant/brake fluid/DSG service - the only factor really is cost.

Personally, given that it's a 1.0 Fabia, I would be tempted to leave the box for now. It's not a particularly demanding box, and you aren't putting any real power or miles through it.

5 years/60,000 miles is probably a good rule of thumb, and even though these boxes are 'sealed for life' plenty of people/places/dealers still service them.

It's always nice to get these things done - changing the brake fluid and coolant especially will help prevent any stuff building up in either system.

Test brake fluid for water content. Test Coolant for strength. (Anti freeze / summer coolant / rust inhibitor) As to the DQ200 DSG and changing the oil in the box and MCU plenty do it or say to do it because they are serviced desk staff. As to as soon as at 5 years or 60,000 miles that is the owners choice but plenty mess up perfectly ok boxes. I would rather have an extended warranty covering the DSG. Oil in the Gearbox and in the the MCU to change. Different from wet clutch boxes where there is only one oil and a filter. PS @exiled2000 you post in the MK2 section about servicing your MK3 Fabia.
