Infotainment screen blank

Featured Replies

I have a 72 plate Mk4 Colour edition.  Just recently, when i switch on the ignition and start the car, the Infotainment screen remains completely blank and doesn't display the initial, (and annoying), "Data protection" message, followed by the clock display. The screen does eventually spring into life after a few minutes or if I press some of the menu buttons.  Anyone else had this issue?

Battery low after start up?

I had the same problem.  It would turn itself off whilst driving or sometimes when reversing.  Would make a loud noise too and screen goes back to a date many years ago!   Someone suggested pressing the on/off button for 20 seconds which I did and it has cured it.  Not done it since so saved me a trip to the Skoda garage.!
