Apple Car Play

Featured Replies

ive only had this car 2 weeks and apple car play keeps disconnecting, is it a known bug? it does come back on its own, but yesterday it i had it on and it went off completely, no screen, was a weird one, might have to have a trip to the dealers again

Good luck with that. The usual complaint is that Android Auto constantly disconnects, but some people have trouble with Carplay too.

First thing is to make sure the infotainment system software has updated to 0330. That may or may not help, but there's no point in trying any other fixes until that is done.

Mind you, mine has been saying 'Software update in progress' for an entire week now.  Speaking as one who developed and published successful software for 20 years, I can say the software on these systems is disgraceful, from small things such as a failure to indicate exactly what is happening and buttons that do nothing when you press them, to big ones such as stuck updates.

I initially had this as well and it was because I was using the Phone option in the infotainment screen, which is Bluetooth, that disconnects  wireless Carplay. I now use Bluetooth for CarPlay so my IPhone 5G connection is.

Mine has been on 'Software update in progress' for the last week. How can this system be so bad?!?!?  I'm assuming it's not actually working and updating anything.

Have this issue all the time but when I plug it in the usb there are times it will crash the system then restart. Bought an original apple usb cable thinking it will help but unfortunately it didn’t so I carry on my life and leave it to crash every time I start the car. Tried updating but still the same. Wish they could fix this known bug

Mine is running 0330 and wireless Android Auto is rock solid, but wireless Apple Carplay continually disconnects.
