Octavia IV 2021 juddering

Featured Replies

Hi,

We bought a 2021 Octavia IV 3 weeks ago and we're very happy despite an annoying problem. The car judders when crawling along at very slow speeds and when using the battery, doesn't matter if the battery is fully charged on empty it's the same issue.

Anyone else have this problem with there IV and did you find a solution.

Welcome.

How many km has your iV / PHEV covered and what servicing has it had.

Has it covered 64,000 km?

Has it had the brakes serviced.

Has it had 3 oil changes and has is been far enough that new spark plugs have been replaced.

The DQ400-e DSG is due an oil change at 64,000 km.

Is the Air Filter clean / fresh / dry?

Thanks

It's done currently 42000km

No brakes serviced yet what I know of.

It's been regularly serviced at 7400, 10200, 13200, 23800, 30600 and 40000km.

Air filter is in good condition.

The petrol version always judders from cold on low revs (my has done it from new).  You just get used to giving it a few more revs.  Once you gone 50 yards it stops doing it.  From my research it's a known problem amongst users which Skoda doesn't acknowledge.

Mine does it even when it's warm and only when running on battery power, can be when I release the accelerator and the car brakes to charge the battery or when i just touch the accelerator, again only at really low speeds. Really annoying but it's booked in to the dealer for that issue and another issue (battery and petrol level lights on dash flicker occasionally)

My petrol definitely doesn't do it. Sounds like a battery/electric drive issue.

I agree, definitely something with the electric power train.

Fault for sure. My iV is smooth as at any speed. Just a bit lurchy braking once the petrol kicks in as the regeneration isn’t as strong as pure electric braking
