Vrs seating position

Featured Replies

Does anyone else have a problem with the seating position on the vrs?  I've had mine for 6 weeks but struggling to get comfortable and now getting a pain behind my right knee.  I'm only 6 foot tall but the seat doesn't go back far enough for my right leg to be straighter.  The seat base seems to be quite short so not supportive and also feels a bit flat.  I had a Superb sportline previously and had no issues at all, although I appreciate that's its a bigger car.

Is there a problem with the base, ? I am 5Ft 10 and I have my seat about half way on the runners, admitting I have a gammy Knee so have to slide it back to get in and out

Is this in the standard VRS seats or the electric?

(Reason I ask is that I’m going back and forth over optioning the electric ones - seems horrifically expensive though and pushes the car up a tax band, so the lifetime cost is £££)

I'm just shy of 6 foot and I have the seat about half way on the runner. If I have the seat fully back, I can't depress the pedals enough.

I've driven for almost 5 hours straight and hadn't any pains or aches when getting out

I have an SEL and find similar, at 6'1" the seat can go far enough back but the wheel doesnt come back far enough and the base is short and flat. Like you I had a Superb SEL before and never complained. I guess its just smaller car syndrome but due to this I will be looking to change the car as soon as I can afford.

It's the standard seats.  It may just be me as it doesn't look like others are having similar issues.

Thanks.  Just updated my profile to show that I have DSG so no clutch to worry about.  I've tried the seat in various positions so maybe it's a case of finding exactly what suits me.

Thanks for your responses.  Maybe it's just coincidence that I have knee pain just after I got the vRS......I'll stick with it as I love the car so hopefully I can resolve it.
