Can the intervention time of lane assist be changed?

Featured Replies

Hi. As you know if lane assist turned on system requests intervention from user every 10  seconds.

Is there any way to increase intervention time maybe for every 1 minutes or totally cancel it?

Thank you.

If you cant steer the car in the direction in needs to go once every 10 seconds, then there are other issues.

If you need to adjust the steering every 10 seconds on a straight road, there are "other issues" and you should give up driving for the benefit of the other 27 million of us!

@enoktakenokta - yes it can b done, but NOT with ur regular tools such as VCDS and OBDEleven.

u need a modified (by someone who knows what they're doing) Gateway parameter file, and specialist tools (such as VCP or ODIS) to upload the file to the car.

i've had it done on mine, paid a person i knew to modify it for me.  the intervention time was increased from 12 to 60 secs.

its great having that extra time, however i only mainly use it on highways/motorways.

As it is the lane assist should only be operational above 60 kph / 37 mph.

Just switch it off if you like to move about the road / lanes when going faster than that, or you do not want to indicate if doing lane changes.

If you have 3Q camera with specific software version then you can upload dataset via ODIS  https://github.com/Mr-MIBonk/Lane-Assistant-60-Seconds

CarScanner also has this option, but I never tried.

Thank you for guidance.

As i see it needs knowladge and experience. Because i have not these 2 qualification i should find a specialist.

By the way how can i learn whether my camera appropriate or not?

I cannot imagine there’s any reason why one would rely on a camera to control a car moving at 70mph on a motorway for 10 seconds, let alone use a system like this for a minute. It’s insanity.

You can check it in VCDS/ODIS/CarScanner/OBD11

It depends on where you're driving/living. For example, when you're driving straight ahead, you don't need to steer, but the system asks you to take the wheel, so you have to wiggle it a bit.

could you please recommend suitable diagnostic cable/adapter from aliexpress to have the lane assist timeout increased ?

i have only vcds and understand it cannot be used for this

thanks
