2015 Skoda Octavia Mk3 Headunit upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi, i would like to ask for info and what others may have already installed, into a 2015 Skoda Octavia.

I would like to upgrade to Android auto system, still using all the wheel and factory buttons

Best option is for OEM swap. You'll need a new screen and glovebox unit. Component protection removal from the glovebox unit by a dealer. Then the new unit recoded by someone like @pab567 to make sure all the features work. Alternatively he can likely sell you a ready to go unit.

Component protection removal from the glovebox unit by a dealer is not required, unit can be patched, in Plug&Play version ;)

Hi Pabs the unit i have is this

5E0035045D

My understanding this unit cannot be updated to android auto car play with software alone , do I have to just replace the in glove box unit ?

Is there any plug in devices to bypass or use as a third party by connecting a USB stick and running it through media.

Pls share your VIN to identify if anything else but glove box unit must be replaced
