This might seem like a silly question, and has almost certainly been asked before, but here it is again...

Re: The 2 Maxidot displays below, can anybody tell me which feature, function, module, or build difference enables the red and white Car display, as opposed to the all white one?

I’m guessing on SEL and above. L&K gets a sort-of colour display.

Thanks for your reply numskull. .. That's what I thought too, but what I can say is that I've owned  3 x Superb 3s in the last 3 months. 2 X SE-Ls and 1 x L&K.. (long story)...

All are/were 2016 cars, (Although I need to confirm the actual Manufacture year).

The 2 x SE-Ls = White Only display.

The L&K = Red and White Display.

 

To top this all off. I had a 2017 Facelift Octavia SE-L. and that  had a Red and white display too...

 

Really confused, but thanks for getting back to me.

😳 It could be the Greenline gets the B&W version - just another guess. 
We like long-boring stories so why didn’t you keep the L&K? Or the other one for that matter?!

Pretty sure it's either black & white or full colour rather than just red & white.

 

Looking a the April 2016 brochure, only the L&K had the full colour as standard. However, it was an option on the SE and SE L.

 

Can't see any mention in the July 2017 brochure so the full colour may have become standard over the range.

This is on mine - MY17.

We don't get L&K version here in Oz, but according to Skoda Erwin, it's based on a Style.

 

 

 

 

 

From MY18 onwards it became full color, i.e. it changed the background color to match the ambient lighting color.

 

Pre-MY18 can't do this sadly.
