Plz Look At This Turbo

Featured Replies

I have an IHI VF34 and also the Jabba exhast manifold.....you don't necessarily nee the manifold but you would require an adapter...also you'd probably not get as much power/torque without the manifold.

You'll need new oil lines to the turbo, probably upgrade fuel pump, TIP, injectors and a remap. If you do the fitting yourself you'll have to get the car transported to your mapping of choice.

VF34 was fitted to Scooby 22B...I think....circa 350bhp.

Looks like a jabba ihi turbo that some nutcase is selling to upgrade

I would be careful buying components (no idea what your technical ability is like so forgive me if you are infact a grease monkey :D ) but obviously you are going to need a complete kit for a turbo upgrade - not just the turbo (you can look on Jabbas website for the extensive list!). If you buy a s/h turbo obviously it will have been 'used' and you will need to get a tuners agreement to fit and map it - which they may well refuse to do if they dont supply it out the box...

Just be careful of what may look like bargain actually might turn out to be a pup - remember you wont be able to stick a turbo on without the manifold, oil lines, probably new dp and then it will need to be mapped to work etc..

I've asked the guy to post on here :D

Hello there, i'm am selling the turbo. The turbo that was on the car, came off a car I bought off a Jabbasport mechanic. So if you want to find out if its ok, speak to Paul Parka. The turbo was running 341 break before I took it off:thumbup:. Its fine, I only changed it because I wanted 400+bhp, and that turbo would not of gone that far !! Mines had a 1.9 conversion with a GT12, its part of the GT30 range, something a bit different! Its going up to Jabba on Tuesday to be set up, i've just finished running it in. That was a slow and boring 1000k:thumbdwn:. Let you know the full spec of the conversion when its back on thursday. And I will open a new thred with the result !!

Yes....if you get Jabba to map for you they can restrict it to 280bhp-ish...which is around 0.7bar.....I'm running Jabba's boost controller and the minimum setting gives approx 280bhp.

Gearboxes and clutches can break due to torque AND by the manner in which the car is driven. Traffic light racing will see brunt clutch!

I'm running standard clutch/gear box and have had no problems at all....on low boost setting...which is effectively what you have said you want....I've got at least 300Nm all the way from approx 2krpm uptil 6.5krpm.

At some point I will upgrade the clutch but it doesn't need it at the moment.

I would suggest upgrading the brakes though....DS2500 pads and 4.1 fluid.

I don't see how the suspension would break just be changing to a bigger turbo....perhaps the extra speed people are going? You may want to upgrade the dog bone engine mount though.

PAGID Blue or Mintex 1144 instead of DS2500 IIRC if you want the car to stay road leagal ;)
