2019 200k superb? Worst case scenario?

Featured Replies

Am looking at a well species 2019 superb tdi 4x4 with 200k mileage. What’s the worst case scenario with this mileage that I should budget for? E.g. if I  needed to replace engine and gearbox?

Welcome.

Why are you looking at one with so many miles, is it very cheap?

Servicing should show 10 x oil and filter changes done and a few DSG oil changes and maybe 6 haldex services.

So has the Engine & Gearbox been serviced well enough and be fine and used ones can be sourced for a couple of thousands each.

What about the rest of the running gear though, the Haldex (AWD)  & rear diff?

Is the suspension and brakes, steering all good?

Is the windscreen OK without loads of chips, maybealready replaced.

Has the servicing been done and parts replaced and the car looked after as it piled on the miles @ an average 33,000 a year..

Yes, 9k and full fully loaded and the right colour. If it had 50k and was 15k I’d snap it up!

Someone has had their values worth out of it, so if the servicing has been getting done then great.

But are you a DIY,er and can do what ever is needed to service and maintain.

First and foremost check that the Haldex Service Record / receipts - invoices are there, and the DSG servicing.

Are the brake discs and tyres in good condition?
