front door speakers

Featured Replies

Hi,

The speaker in the front door has started farting, really not pleasant to listen to.

I can get Pioneer speakers online for £70 then either fit then myself or pay someone to do it, and have been quoted £300 for Audison speakers supplied and fitted.

I don't know whether the originals are full range or just bass, how much hassle it is to replace them, and how the quality of Pioneer, Audison or indeed the original cones compare so would appreciate some advice

I should say that music is important to me and I'll appreciate a good sound.

Thanks,

Mark

I’ve not done it on a Skoda but door card removal will be a ball ache, plus a few clips are bound to break.

Once that’s removed, it’s usually another obstacle of drilling out the rivnuts if it has them and I bet it does (maybe get away with self tappers)

Then you’ll need to find out or someone on here will say what size rivnuts you need and tool.

Refit and onto the other side then eventually you’ll probably end up doing both rears too if replacement are much better 😁

Thank you, I've decided to pay for it to be done, I don't want to break the airbags!
