Used Karoq SE or Sport line

Featured Replies

I'm trying to decide between Karoq SE 1.5 with only 22,000 miles, and the other which is a Sportline 1.5 with 19-inch alloy wheels, a sunroof, and other features but has 46,000 miles both are 2020 plate. Am I being unreasonable for leaning towards the Sportline despite its higher mileage? Any advice would be appreciated!

Well, a "Sportline 1.5 with 19-inch alloy wheels" will have a teeth chipping and osteopath pleasing ride.

Plenty of fish in the sea, why limit yourself to two cars?

You need to make sure you are ok with the Sportlines seats and ride on 40 series tyres.  It's subjective and no one can answer that for you.

Morning OP, we bought a 2020 Sportline in April last year. The OEM Bridgestones were a nightmare, picked up every bump and hole in the road, Significant Other spent all her time pointing out the road ahead, driving was no longer enjoyable for me. That was quickly resolved when we fitted CrossClimate2s, different ride altogether. Apart from that and a software update dealt with under warranty we had no issue with the cars functionality - decent gearbox, turn of speed, looks, panoroof . . .

However, over time the high back seats took their toll and I found I was left with backache when I’d been behind the wheel for more than an hour. I’m 6ft1, 18st and regardless of how I adjusted the seat (and there’s not a great deal of flexibility available) I couldn’t seem to alleviate the problem.
So we made the decision to sell a fortnight ago.

What are you replacing it with?

We gave up a lovely Freelander (👍 Mayor Khan) and I’d previously fancied the Jaguar F-Pace. Test drove a diesel, very nice, but wanted petrol which it seems are harder to get hold of within our budget. Then noticed the JLR dealer had taken in a Velar, had a look, test drive, all sorted, drove it home Wednesday. It’s a P300 HSE R-Dynamic with pretty much every accessory you can think of. And despite its size and weight, the 2litre motor apparently turns out just shy of 300bhp

Thanks for this, we actually started paying more attention to this and realise yes, they could get a little uncomfortable.

Thank you, we are now looking at an SE l instead, definitely more confortable seats.

I'm 6 feet and 18 stone and have had a bad back and legs for years. My 2019 karod sel is the most comfortable and best driving position of any car I have owned, and the ride on 18" wheels with 235/50x18 tyres is good. It's maybe not the best riding car I have ever owned, I have had a Citroën Xantia and 2 x C5 with the hydraulic suspension, but its not far off it. Certainly acceptable and I've done over 400 miles towing the caravan with just a 1/2 hour stop with no problems.
