Skoda mk 2 Fabia alarm

Featured Replies

I have a Skoda Fabia mk 2 2009, I’m finding when I lock the car the alarm goes off spontaneously, does anyone have any solutions to this 🤔

any help much appreciated 🙂

Things to check, have had similar issues…

1. Battery in the key fob

2. Wiring loom in the door

3. Battery

both the first two where issues on mine at one point, we have the same car from the same year.

Also you can always try disabling the alarm with the red button on the door.

Hope this helps

I had this problem and it took months to figure. Strangely, it turned out to be the window control unit.

I initially replaced the door lock, the wiring loom, then found some interesting posts and lots of help from Pete pointing to the window control unit. For some reason it interfaces with the door lock/alarm and caused my alarm to go off randomly in the middle of the night.

Sounds daft but try hoovering the internal sensor I think near the interior light. My Octavia used to go off randomly and also when I locked car. I gave it a good hoover and it cured it. Something about the sensor getting dust in it causing false alarms. Similar to smoke alarms that go off randomly.
