Hey all if you could help with suggestions as to what may be happening that would be great

 

The car does not want to crank, the dash turns on with the ignition, epc and engine light stays on.

 

When try to crank nothing happens bar the engine, epc, cold engine and fuel guage turns off on dash.

 

Have tried both keys and resetting by cycling ignition a few times, no change

Has your battery become discharged - do you have any way of checking battery charge state and condition?

Best to say what engine, petrol or diesel.

The open door light stays on when attempting to start sp dash doesnt go dark. Atm i am away from the car so cant properly check will when can tho

 

It is a 1.2 petrol

Update

 

So nevermind mystery solved, someone hadn't tightened the earth terminal on battery and that was causing the problem
