Hi,

 

Had this noise for months now, my first guess was camshaft, but just wanted some opinions on it, when oil is low obviously sounds a lot worse but sound never goes away no matter the level of oil.

 

Will it get worse, or is it worth taking a look at, I got a few quotes 2-3k just to take engine apart and have a look.  
 

Has anyone else had similar issue and what was the damage.

That is pretty much how mine sounds and I have never given it a second thought.

Oh sound, wasn’t sure cause I never bought it with that noise, but cheers

Dude, a little tappet noise is normal on older engines, you're suffering from mild twincharger hysteria, you'll definitely know when it goes wrong!
