DSG fluid change for DQ381 (0GC) - Meyle kit ok? I am worried about the oil they supply with the kit compared to the oil from VW-but the VW oil is close to 40 euros a Liter here in Germany!

Featured Replies

It amazes me that in Germany, this stuff sells for 35-40 euros, but in the U.S. it sells for closer to 20! ugh, anyway, if anyone knows a cheaper EU source please tell me. Otherwise, thoughts on Meyle?

This is with kit 100 135 0116, which their website says is compatible with my car/transmission, but I also see on the oil (ATF DCG II) it shows models of other transmissions as well. Thank you!

Hopefully those that have bought the items and used them will be along.

Look at the threads / guides on here on doing the service, including filter.

Pff the DSG oil got really expensive in the last couple of years…

I was about to tell you buy only the VW fluid for the DSG or maybe a big exception would be Amsoil DCT fluid which I haven’t tried on your transmission but was behaving great on the 6sp wet clutch DQ250 on my Octavia 3. But the same became as twice as expensive compared to its price two years ago.

Check hour local Skoda dealer for their DSG fluid prices. From my experience Skoda dealers have the best prices compared to all other VW brands.

E.g. last week I bought AdBlue from Skoda for 22 euro. VW dealer sells the same 10L bottle for 30!

I've just ordered the Meile DSG oil kit (incl. filter + drain plug) to replace DSG oil on my DQ250. I should do it in August. I'll tell you thn if there's any difference.

I've driven the last 58800km with a Mannol kit. No special difference to notice.

as I said in other posts Fuchs makes OE dsg oil FL52529 for DQ381 and is half the price at least.

I'm using it with great succes for 15months.

This is no brainer

ok, thanks for the replies...I found a seller on ebay offering six 1L bottles for 140, so at around 23 euros per bottle for VW oil, I went ahead and bought that. Hopefully it is not fake lol. It is from a seller in Germany so probably ok I hope. All unopened with 2027 dates on bottles.

140 looks a bit expensive.

I've got my Meile kit (incl filter + drain plug) for ~ €105

I paid 140 total for 6L of the VW original fluid, came out to around 23 euros/L.

Did not buy the Meyle fluid/kit.
