Solid flywheel

Featured Replies

Hi guys so my flywheel is starting to become really rattly now. So I've been looking for a kit trying to keep costs down much as possible. I had fitted a "LUK kit" to my vectra from a seller based in Blackpool via eBay before and it had a horrendous shudder when taking off but reading up on thr seller it seemed that his flywheels gave off a bad shudder but obviously he ignored all messages so needless to say I sold the car on. But I had a vectra with a solid flywheel fitted too and it wasn't that bad it had a slight mechanical noise at low speeds other than that it was grand. So I have stumbled upon a national solid flywheel clutch kit locally for sale but I don't what reputation national clutches have and I don't know how my bjb engine octavia will cope or react with a solid flywheel as I'm now using it over some distance I don't want something unpleasant to be driving. So anyone with any experience of a solid flywheel and/or a national clutch kit would be interesting to hear from.

My solid flywheel kit juddered 2005/55 1.9 TDI BKC Octy. It took all the smoothness out of the car. Plenty of people also had good experience
