  • General rule I recommend to follow is "If it works without any issues don't touch it" which means don't make a firmware upgrade if everything works ok. Bricking th eunit during firmware upgrade is not

Cześć widzę ze kolega ma dużą wiedzę w tym temacie.

Chciałem zainstalować Mirror link i android auto / car play w moim Mib2 w fabi mk3 z 2020 kombi.

Dzięki

First of all - although I am from POland and Polish is my mother tongue but this is ENglish forum so pls be so kind to use ENglish :)

MirrorLink is obsolete, it has been abandoned by all phone manufacturers, so only Android AUto and Apple CarPlay are in scope. As you have SWING you will need Bolero or Amundsen infotainment reader, infotainment display, new USB and cables to connect it all.

Thank you, I will try to follow the language rules for the information, thank you for your understanding.

It's a pity that it's not enough to add software.

It seemed easy to do, now I understand that it is not to be done.

I apologize if I'm asking a stupid question, but would that mean that updating the firmware of my swing radio doesn't matter? Or would it help with connecting a newer phone to the radio? Right now it doesn't recognize my android phone, when I plug it into the USB.

Hi @pab567 ,

may you send me the link for the download also?

Thank you!! 🙏

General rule I recommend to follow is "If it works without any issues don't touch it" which means don't make a firmware upgrade if everything works ok. Bricking th eunit during firmware upgrade is not very common but still happens so why should anyone take a risk if there is no need?

Check you PMs for download link

Thank you very much for the advice and the link. :)

I would also be very happy about the download link. After we got a new smartphone, Android Auto no longer works reliably. Sometimes does, sometimes not. Maybe the update can help...?

Thank you very much!
