Superb mk3 sportline boot panels

Featured Replies

Hi, apologies if this has been covered elsewhere on the site but I couldn't find anything.

I am wondering if I can get covers for these openings in my boot as I have seen on some other superbs or are these an open version?

I have had a quick check to see if those plastic rails at bottom can be removed but didn't want to cause any damage.

Thanks

You probably can get the covers but, knowing VAG, they’ll be ridiculously expensive. And there are catches which the covers lock into which would need to be fitted too.

I’ve no idea how the half covers are fitted on yours though.

You can pull out those middle bits and they have velcro on to stick to the boot carpet to stop stuff moving about.

I don't have any covers over the big storage gap.

The OS part number is 3V5868885E. It’s about £40.

thanks everyone

These openings do have « doors » on Estate version. I don’t know why this is not fitted on hatchback. 🤔

They are fitted on some hatchbacks but not others apparently. I wasn't sure if they were just missing but as someone previously mentioned, I do not see any fastenings or latches for the covers. Thanks

I have a MY2020  SEL  Hatch with both side covers fitted

Sorry, does MY2020 just mean it was built/registered in 2020? I have a sportline plus Hatch registered in Nov 2020 so is mine also a MY2020?

MY = Model Year

Your Nov 2020 is probably MY2021 but it really depends on when it was built.

I believe the changeover is July(ish) for the next MY.

Ok thanks. Only had it a month but I love it so far.

my Superb MY17 hatch has full covers on both sides.

the left side has a canton sub-woofer sitting in there.

the right side has a big storage area where i keep all the boot nets, first aid kit and a toolkit.

Then it may depend on trim level…
