Hi everyone, hope you are all well.

 

Over the last month a fault developed on my trusty 2010 Octavia VRS. All to do with the headlights, nothing has changed headlight wise since early 2020 when I changed the bulbs but that was 4.5 years ago and has been fine ever since so I dont know why these errors would begin now?

 

01042 - Control Module not coded

 

01539 - Headlights Not Adjusted: No or Incorrect Basic Setting / Adaptation

 

02233 - Left Headlight Power Output Stage (J667): No Signal/Communication

 

02234 - Right Headlight Power Output Stage (J668): No Signal/Communication

 

02656 - Power Output Stage for Left Headlight (J667); Not Coded

 

02657 - Power Output Stage for Right Headlight (J668); Not Coded

 

I need to get this fixed, is it an expensive repair, a quite simple DIY job? Any help is hugely appreciated

I think people at ross-tech.com know the answer to this. From what i can tell its a bit counterintutive because one has to code the slave before the power output stage will come alive. Something like that in layman's terms. May i prompt anyone here for an answer on this common issue that disables our levelling headlights.
