Car discharged

Featured Replies

I recently got my car moved in a truck. At the time of delivery the key gets unresponsive. I manually get into the car. Call Skoda road side assistance. They try to jumpstart the car but all that’s happening is parking lights, buzzer and display says key not found.
even after changing the key battery and pressing directly over the start stop button it says key not found. Any heads up what could it be?

Have you peeled the safety sticker off of the key battery?

Does the key work? (Does it have a red LED that lights on a button push?)

Do you have a second key to try?

I haven’t peeled any sticker. I did try with replacing the key battery but it still showed the same message. The second key is in courier transit and will take a couple of days to come

New batteries of this size have a plastic peelable disc on them. It has a bitter taste, as a deterrent to children from swallowing the battery. Until the plastic disc is removed, you won’t have contact with the key’s terminals, so no circuit and the key will appear dead.
