Currently owe 14.5k on the PCP, offered over 21.5k on motorway. I am assuming they will knock it down to 20k but will have paid more back by the time I sell so roughly 5-6k. First time ever I've been in positive equity on a car 😂

ah ok, that’s makes sense, is this year 3 of yours then? I’m year 2 currently and still less than yr1 mileage 😂

looks like I am getting mine before christmas, build week 46

  • Very happy with my 72 plate VRs specced with all I wanted(winter pack, rev cam, etc) but it would take a bit to encourage me into the facelift… seeing the standard list price means options will easily

I just sold via motorway yesterday, pretty smooth experience tbh. Similar to you @BNB90 but owed a little less, got 7300 after paying off finance. No reduction in what they paid out when a guy came to collect, just take good photos and list any damage. One thing was a bit faffy though was the settlement statement: if you are planning to sell, CALL SKODA FINANCE and get them to email it to you, as that's immediate. If you request it via the website, it takes ages (mine took 3 weeks). I asked about why it takes so long when I spoke with them, where the answer was: it just does. Current order of hyper green vRS has been sitting at Emden docks for a few days, waiting to be assigned a ship.

That's good to hear. A colleague sold to Motorway and got the price they quoted too so even better if that is the case! Thanks for the heads up with the settlement statement 👍

Balloon payment due at the end of April 2025 on a 4 year PCP with pretty much as quoted mileage.

PS: if selling via motorway, don't bother taking really good photos beforehand. You have to use their app to take photos and can't upload your own. I think the app disables any fancy camera software/post processing stuff, which I can understand.

Good luck with any sale, second prices are strong at the moment (but might slow down closer to Christmas we get)

Mine was built week commencing 11th November

And I ordered the glossy grey wheel but caps and centre caps from the parts department while I was there last night, they will just leave them in the car, I will be getting a full gtechniq treatment at some point in the next few weeks, so will leave the aero covers off when that gets done

My verdict is still out on the aero wheel things; I'll see how I feel about them when it arrives and it looks like an easy job. @GrumpyOldGit sounds like your build date is first week after factory shutdown, so it might be transported fairly quickly to the docks. Sometimes they can sit at the docks for a while however, and you can't really get updates until it's been assigned to a ship; after that however, you should then get a fairly good estimate on when your car can be handed over to you

Thanks.I have already bought the Center hub caps as not keen on aero inserts.

Do you know if it's possible to delay registering the car as the plate changes in March and it looks like I'll be getting the car early Feb. I was going to get ceramic coating but changed my mind I don't mind applying wax occasionally.

I suspect the garage will be keen just register the car...I am lazy and live in a coastal town with a tyrannical seagull population, the gtechniq has been great on my last 3 cars

Salt spray, seagulls and sand definitely sensible then. How long does the coating last ,do you have to top up or strip and replace never had a coating on a car.Hoping dealers will take pity and delay a few weeks.

My car has been delayed, been sitting in Emden port for just over a month now. A fair bit longer than the estimated time shared by lease company (14ish days max), and Skoda suggest they are experiencing delays with transport but no clear reason why. Delivery in New Year will mean I have the time to give it a proper detail. Post an update of yours @Gingernick70 when you collect it!

Im in the same boat but only ordered about 3 weeks ago. Awaiting a ship to the UK. Mines been estimated as the second week of Jan now by the leasing company. I was told bad weather had caused some delays but who knows. I've been given the reg it will have and VIN number. I was tempted to activate it on the app to see if I could see where it was 😂
