Hi. I've had an 'Airbag Fault ' light come on today on an Octavia MK2 2011 Diesel estate and I was just wondering if anyone could offer any advice on what to check first?

The fault codes in the airbag module.

Once the fault is on it can only be cleared with a diagnostic tool, and as @Paws4Thot says the fault code would highlight the where the problem lies.

 

You won't get much further without diagnostics being used to find the fault code logged.
