Selection spec

Featured Replies

Hi folks,  my first ever post here so sorry if I'm breaking rules!

Just collected a brand new facelift Selection spec Octavia having had the previous model in Style spec (2019) and the pre-facelift Selection (2023).

I have 2 questions I'd love some help with.

In the previous cars I used the phone functionality seemed to be much better than with the new virtual cockpit. There doesn't seem to be any way to hang up a call or to scroll through my contacts without having to go the big screen which isn't very safe. Has anyone a work around on it?

Second question, I'm a big fan of opening all 4  windows with the key on a hot day but that's not working on this car. Should it be? Is there a setting I'm not seeing somewhere?

With the right selector on the steering wheel you may select what is shown on your dashboard. Scroll through options on the right part till you see you phone there. From there you can hang up with the same button or select contacts with the options button.

Thanks for responding, no matter what I try with the options wheel it's not giving me any other options bar showing the phone is connected. No access to contacts etc.

I resolved the other issue I was having with the windows, I found an option deep in the settings which wasn't turned on.

Welcome to the forums @Tipperarypaul.

For the phone I always use voice control to initiate a call; in my case CarPlay (Siri), and AndroidAuto I am sure will have very similar functionality. Ending a call I either tap the red 'end call' on the Infotainment screen or simply let the other person hang up.

Well done finding the windows setting. The menus are very deep and it can take a while to work through them all.

To control phone from dash you need to click right wheel to select right dial on dash. Scroll till you see your phone then press the right button below wheel. This should take you into phone settings. If your on call you can hang up. If not on call it should scroll through recents or allow you to go to your contacts.

Basically you need the green active circle round the dial before you can press the right button
