Mitsubishi HS-M57 - Not Loading Video Cassette

Bear with me on this one...

I bought the above VHS video recorder through Facebook Marketplace, it loaded the tape fine at first but wouldn't play, then switched off. Ejected the tape afterwards. Now it takes the tape in so far, then won't go any further. I've since checked the belt on the bottom of the mechanism for driving the tape and that - but it seems okay to me.

I'm not sure if there's another belt for loading, I haven't really checked that in-depth. If anyone knows, that'd be nice.

I don't want to give up on it, since it's a really tidy machine - one previous old couple etc. Original remote, cellophane to protect the lid and other panels. It's mint.
