Horn Not Working With The Engine Running

Featured Replies

I don't know how long this has been an issue but I went to sound the horn recently whilst I was towing a caravan and it didn't work.  At first I thought that the fuse must have blown but when I checked this it was fine.  I then tried the horn again with the ignition switched on and the horn worked fine, so I thought it must have been related to having the caravan hitched up however, I tried the horn again with the engine running and it doesn't work.

Any thoughts on what the issue is or do I just need to get it booked in with an auto electrician.

Well I don't know what's going on with this, but I tried it again to day whilst driving on an empty road and it worked several times.  So Im going to test it a few more times when I'm out and about to see if the problem reoccurs.

On my last Superb, which was a pain in the behind, I found that when my ACC was not working that impacted on the horn also not working, when the ACC was shown to be working the horn sounded. I put it down to some electrical/Skoda quirk as I saw others in the forum also suffered similar issues.
