Dcc removal

Featured Replies

Recently bought 2017 mk3 estate se l executive (what ever that means) 220 tsi, I’m looking to remove the dcc shocks and put in koni special active after having them on my bmw, my main question is what springs would go well with them from the sportline to give a small drop as I’m planning on running 245/40/19, I’ve read that there are a few difference sportline springs to choose from so not sure which to go for but I’m aware i will need new buffers (shorter). To anyone wondering why removing the dcc I find it pointless as the suspension is set to sport constantly but all shocks are needing replacing as the squeak like an old coil mattress

You cannot unfortunately just rip the shocks out and put non-dcc replacements in. You need dcc cancellers or many many hours de-coding the things off the car's control modules

I’m aware of this procedure and already have a place in mind that offers this service once the new shocks are fitted

Don’t want to lower too much, also can’t find what I need for the b6 Damptronic can find fronts but not backs

@Sharkeyboy

all part codes are in the link i posted above

Bilstein B6 DampTronic 23-254343 front
Bilstein B6 DampTronic 20-267537 rear

to avoid lowering, choose Eibach Pro springs from weightier MQB:
front - Audi Q2 F11-85-043-02-FA or Kodiaq/Tiguan F11-85-043-03-FA
rear - ŠS 4x4 F11-79-008-01-HA or Kodiaq F11-79-013-01-RA

Would the springs from a sport line not work?

Best of luck with the coding.
I hope it goes well and doesn’t create any further issues with all the connected systems in the vehicle.

There r so many other systems dependent on the DCC.
