Power Steering is rather stiff

Can the Carista OBD2 app make the Karoq Edition (2018) power steering lighter? Especially when parking or manoeuvring. Thanks.

I'll check when I'm next in the car and will report back 👍

Yes - these were the options displayed for my 2023 1.5 TSi Karoq 👍

I'm running the latest Carista Beta.

Do you know which of these settings will give me the most power assistance when standing still or going very slowly (for parking, etc). Thanks!

I'd take a guess at using 'Dynamic' - which I'd think will reduce assistance as vehicle speed increases. I know almost everyone does it to an extent - but it's not especially good to wind on wheel lock while the vehicle is stationary.

Possibly silly questions, but has the steering recently become heavier, are your tyre pressures too low, has the  tracking or suspension been damaged?

No problems , I just fancy trying a more power-assisted mode. So I've changed the setting from AUTO  to COMFORT and it's already a more "assisted" steering experience, especially when going slowly, so I'll leave it like this for now. If anyone thinks there is even more assistance provided in another mode then I'll try that one too. Thanks for the tips!

Good that you've found an improvement. I was a little surprised that the steering seemed heavy at slow speeds as I find mine is very light, being able to 'palm' the steering very quickly from lock to lock with virtually zero effort, hence my questions.

Does anyone have the settings for 0044 power steering settings of skoda superb 2.0 tdi.

Driver profile selection:- active/not active

Characteristic curve of steering assistance.

1.driving profile selection button

2.comfort

3.Dynamic

4.Automatic

5.default

Which one is the correct settings by default on stock skoda superb 2017.

@FabFabFabia  Did you not think of asking a Master Tech at a Dealership in the past 3 years if they can set your steering to more assistance.

Just as they have been able to in the past for cars going to Motability Customers or others with disabilities.

I set it to COMFORT and this has increased the power assist so I'm happy. Anyone know what DYNAMIC or AUTOMATIC do?
