Couple of questions if I may?

Featured Replies

Hi folks, had a SE 1.5 etec delivered on Friday.

Hadn't seen one or test drove one but wife had a Karoq as previous two lease cars and I've a 2022 Octavia so it was an easy choice for the price.

Got a few questions which I'm hoping someone in here might be able to answer before I head to a dealer who I'm sure will be next to useless.

1) When selecting the Maps view on the VC it's just stuck there at loading or something like that. I don't remember seeing that in my Octavia but assumed it would just "sort itself out' after a few days?

2) when playing with the cruise control/limiter stalk I've found that if I try to turn on CC if I get the sequence wrong it comes up on screen saying about buy ACC in shop. I might just do that, except the only ondemand gesture I have to buy or trial is the ambient lighting that I assume just unlocks more colour options?

Anyone else see the above?

Cheers,

Steve

Morning

I have the same map issue on the VC.  I spoke with the dealer and they emailed back with the below….

”I understand you have recently purchased a new Kodiaq and have a map loading issue that is on your dash.

I have done some checks into this and found that SKODA are developing an update for your car. I have been put on a mailing list”

No mention of any timeframes.

Ah, thanks for letting me know.

I kinda expected that kind of response, eventually, if I spoke to one of the two dealers around here.

It's not a problem as my wife and I use Waze via Carplay/AndroidAuto but occasionally when in traffic in my Octavia I like to play with the VC and get a feel as to what could be if they ever enabled VC to sync CP/AA map views 🤣

Cheers, Steve
