Lost the ability to change what's displayed on the Virtual dash

Featured Replies

So was changing one of the displays on the virtual dash yesterday so see the average consumption and then it just went blank.

It's now stuck on settings and the radio displays, see first pic. (2021 car running on version 1941, pic attached with all details)

If I hold the button on the steering wheel to try changing things it just goes blank, see the second pic.

On the other dash displays it's the same thing, blank, and on the map one I get full screen maps.

I thought it may sort itself out over night but it's still like this this morning.

Anyone have any ideas or see this before? I've thought about restoring factory settings in the infotainment unit but does that only effect the head unit itself and not the virtual dash?

You have not said what age the car is and what is the version of the firmware is ?

It might be worth putting info in your profile for future posts !

You are better answering in a post after the (my) comment as it looks to others that I have not read the post correctly.

The only thing to try is do a complete reboot by pressing the 0n/off button for a few seconds till it goes off and reboots

Ps don't forget the profile info

Apologies @RADIOTWO, for the record your suggestion worked.

I didn't even think of a reboot of the infotainment system.

I went back to the car and it had a bit of a hissy fit telling me all my aids were unavailable before returning and once the reboot completed my virtual cockpit was back functioning correctly.

There was a small over the air update yesterday which might be the suspect for triggering it.

If you press and hold the right scroll wheel, it will blank out the details in the dials (as in the second picture). If you want to change the displayed information, click the scroll wheel without holding it longer. Then, it will highlight the dial/place where you can edit the displayed info.

That wasn't the issue though, it was that it was blanked and stopped working as normal.
