running probs

Featured Replies

O.K peeps, i have done all the searches and i'm not the only one to have (or have had) this problem. My octo vrs sometimes goes and sometimes doesn't (sort of a normally aspirated kind of feeling). Sometimes (usually in second) when you accelerate, the car realy takes off and then 'dumps' all it's power before going again and seems to drive better on part throttle with full throttle 'feeling' as if it gives less accelleration. This is really frying my little noodle...!

Maf has been replaced, new DV30 has been fitted and there are no fault codes...

Someone help me before i buy something more reliable like a golf GTI or Audi............................ Doh...!

do you have a boost gauge? It may be handy to know if the engine is actually losing boost when it goes flat. If it does, then maybe a problem with the N75 boost control valve, or actuator itself.?

Boost gauge is on the way. Was thinking of replacing the n75 anyway but don't want to start just throwing bits at it.

.

HELP............

I had similar problems with my remapped 4X4. Jabbasport diagnosed a faulty N75 valve in my case and a new one cured the problem. There were no fault codes logged.
