HELP! Black emblem part numbers please

Featured Replies

Hi everyone and thank you for any help in advance. I have a 65 Octavia vrs estate and decided to change the badges to black ones . I purchased some after market ones off of eBay from a seller who claims to have sold hundreds with no issues . However the Skoda emblems both front and back I cannot get to fit correctly they lift up in the middle and won’t stay down. I believe they should be 90mm curved both back and front and this is what I have ordered . The seller sent me a second set claiming they never had the issue before but I’ve tried and had the exact same results . I took every caution I could think of , making sure the paint was fully cleaned and all the sticky tape / glue was removed and used a hot air gun and used a hot air gun to warm up the surfaces . I’ve tried to contact Skoda about purchasing some black badge emblems but they say they can only provide what the vehicle left factory with unless I provide the part numbers. Does any one know the correct Skoda part numbers for the black badges . Or somewhere I could buy after market ones that will work ? Again thank you in advance any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Never changed my badges but I know other members have used Kopacek

I've used them for sill covers and they were perfect fit.

Maybe someone will come along with first hand experience to give you  :)

I took my Octavia to a body shop in Norwich to have all my badges changed to black. I brought them off a guy on ebay at £40.00 for the full set.  No issues with the bonnet round logo and the Skoda and Octavia on the rear, however the same problem you had with the rear logo.  They tried to apply heat to get it to the correct shape but it snapped. Next the took the original badge and scuffed it up and sprayed it black and clear coat.

It looks really good on the car, however they said they were not 100% happy with it and have placed an order for another gloss black badge.

I think it looks fantastic.

I just blacked all mine out using PlastiDip. Simply mask off the surrounding body (leave a gap around the badge). Once you've done a couple of coats, it will be thick enough that you can remove the masking and peel off the overspray on the bodywork

Looks so kule.  I did mine too, only I brought the black badges.  Another nice mod is bonnet gas struts.20241203_092833.thumb.jpg.edfe17115e19202c5c336307a4f18007.jpg
