Sidelights and rear lights not working!

Hi friends!

Today I've noticed my headlight switch isn't working the way I want it to. When I switch on sidelights nothing happens. When I switch on the headlights ONLY the headlights come on (no rear lights or dashboard lighting)

Any idea why this might be? I've checked fuses including 23 but all seems fine. (Please suggest some though that you think I should check)

I recently tried installing an automatic headlight switch in place of the normal on/off one. It worked fine but then stopped doing anything. The only one is back in but still not working correctly. Everything else on the car works fine.

Any suggestions would be amazing
