Can I ask a question that has been vexing me for a while with this thread...   are those of you that have ordered already ordering without actually seeing on in the flesh or driving one?

If so I find that amazing and slightly mad...   but each to their own!

Totally agree, totally mad

expecting mine in March!! But I do get what you say and I would not normally take notice of the reviews, lets just hope the car is amazing

The same as timjfw5 we did the same with the Karoq and weren't disappointed. Elroq is in theory an electric Karoq so very similar size. We tried an Enyaq which is effectively the same electric bit, read all the You Tube reviews and thought it was worth the risk

Yep.  Did this with my Mini Cooper electric too. Crazy eh?!  Dealer said to visit when they have the demonstrator on site, and I can of course cancel at any time up to collecting it.  I doubt I’ll change my mind though.

Well fair play to you all...   You're braver than I would be as I'd never buy a car without physically seeing and driving it!

Just had a build week date of week 6 which is this week!

Excellent news!  I have just had a build date this afternoon of 16th February for my moon white 85 edition Elroq .. seems quite specific?  Not complaining...should arrive at dealers sometime in March which is happy days!

Great stuff - nice to see them coming through ... how did you hear about the build date?  Did the dealer contact you?  (I'm fed up with hassling the dealer for updates!)

No..i emailed  the dealer and sales guy rang me back  as it was almost 2 months since ordering (first time asking for update) ..i also asked to be notified when  the demo Elroq arrives so i can get a test drive

I've ordered mine last week  (85 Edition with Maxx package in brilliant silver) and the anticipated delivery date they've given me is 14th of May. It'll be interesting to see when the car is actually build and how much that impacts delivery.

As for @skomaz's earlier intrigue, I've also been keeping a close eye on the reviews and videos online. With the Elroq I see it more like a calculated risk.... if it was a brand new model with nothing similar to compare it with (in terms of dimensions and tech), then fair enough, it would be a bit brave to place an order without actually seeing the car. Whereas I see the new Elroq as a much refined Enyaq with a modest boot which just so happens to be what I'm looking for. I think what remains risky is just how well I'll actually get on with an EV for general use.

Brilliant silver will look amazing yns. It'll be my first experience with an EV too.  The electric charger has been installed,  just waiting for the car now.

hopefully you manage to get yours before April, timjfw5. Very curious to hear your fist impressions!

Be interested to know how long it takes from build date to dealers arrival. You might get  yours before they even get the demo model...we shall see.

Anyone  planning on installing dashcams in their Elroq?

Surprised no option at dealers / factory for this..a little disappointing.

Hope to use my garmin, don’t like running a lead round the windscreen in my non professional way, but initial investigation seems some companies are not sure best way to do it, found this on my ev BMW as well

I drive a MG3 Hybrid for now and a little spoiled as has a USB port at side of rearview mirror mount for dashcams. Shame more manufacturers do not have something similar..makes it much easier for self install.

Yes definitely.   I'm hoping the retailer will do it.   Also there wasn't an option for extended warranty when I ordered.   I would like to get that sorted too.

Now that would be nice!   The dealer better not use it for a demo car or there will be trouble !!!

We're having front and rear dashcams. Nothing available from Skoda, but the dealer was doing Kenwood. Front we're having DRV610W which is 4K. Rear is KCA-R210 which is 2K + the hard wire kit so that parking is covered. I thought it was a tad expensive at £440 fitted, but asked myself the question " do I want a Halfords Tech doing this, when he won't have heard of an Elroq, let alone worked on one?" or am I being unfair?

So your local Skoda dealer  is offering the dashcam installation? Does seem  a little expensive but at least it will have a proper warranty and not hinder your Elroq  warranty.

Skoda seem to be missing a trick with the configurator with no extended warranty or service plan. There's not even a mention of carpet mats or all weather rubber mats.  Hopefully something will be available from the dealer by the time we collect our car.

The 85 edition comes with car mats..that much i do know. Hopefully they are decent.

Google AI reply reference Skoda and dashcams...not sure how accurate but interesting  about the rearview mirror USB...will check that on the demo model.

Yes, Skoda dealers can fit dash cams, and some dash cams are available as Škoda parts.

I have a nasty feeling one of the Elroq youtube videos said that although the Kodiaq has a USB c connector in the rear view mirror (albeit the wrong side for right hand drive vehicles) Skoda dropped it from the Elroq.

That is a shame if that turns out to be the case...will find out soon enough..One thing i did see in a YT review was a washer for the rearview camera although no other review mentioned that which i found strange...very welcome feature if indeed the Elroq has it.

I see Skodas PCP deals have got better… £3500 contribution if 0% finance and £6000 contribution @ 6.9% APR.  I’ll take that discount and then pay it off with that discount.
