  • I've ordered mine last week  (85 Edition with Maxx package in brilliant silver) and the anticipated delivery date they've given me is 14th of May. It'll be interesting to see when the car is actually

  • That’s why I kept my 85 edition to under 40k, going to miss the matrix lights and the electric tailgate, but have a workaround “shut the boot dear”

Nice to hear from you timjfw5. I began to think I was talking to myself this week. Very few posts so I thought everyone must be out enjoying their new cars

Test driving at my local dealership tomorrow! 😊

I ordered an 'in stock' car via Tusker and just been emailed to say it's been delayed until the end of April due to "transport issues"...

Hi, welcome.........when did you place the order and was it for an edition 85 model?

Hi, yes, it was an Edition 85 with no packs, ordered 3rd March with estimated date to dealer as 'late March'.

Funny, I’ve had the exact same phone call and email today. Ordered via Tusker as well.

Excellent...great to hear...enjoy!

Do you have your car yet TAP? I had a call from our dealer today to say our car is in the UK Port of Entry (presumably Port of Tyne) and they are expecting delivery the middle of next week. If you haven't had your car yet then I think ours might be a stretch. Sales rep suggested a handover on 31st March, but I'd want it taxing a few days before that as the Conspiracy Theorist in me thinks the DVLA Computer might break down on the last day before the new RFL rates come into play.

HI, unfortunately no news yet. Over 2 weeks at UK port awaiting transporter but hoping no more than 3 weeks and maybe get news next week! Can only hope.

Brilliant news Bowdie!

Just plugged mine in for its first charge using Charge Anytime on OVO with an Ohme Pod charger I'm a little nervous not having done it before. Hope it works!

Can't you ask the dealer to register the car TAP if it's at a UK port, to beat the 1st April deadline ?

it'll be fine. We currently have Octopus Go for our PHEV. We'd like to change to Intelligent Octopus where you get 7 hrs of cheaprate, but they can communicate with the car and as long as it's plugged in, they can choose to charge it at any time, but always charged at cheap rate. Unfortunately, they cant yet communicate with the Elroq

I think it's possible, but basically you need to pay for the car before that can happen. I spoke to our dealer about it and he said if its PCP, pay the deposit and sign the finance agreement, or if it's cash, pay the lot. I guess that's understandable, but personally, I wouldn't be handing over that sort of money without seeing the car.

Thankfully you were right Bowdie All very easy to charge. As you said, the car API can't communicate with the electricity supplier yet but the Ohme charger sent all the data and I'm getting the 7p per Kwh. Phew !

One thing I did notice on the Skoda app while hooking it up to the charger is that the car reports 'Not plugged in' until it starts receiving power. So for dynamic charging, where the charger only starts charging during the off peak hours, no need to worry that the car says its not plugged in when technically it is.

It’s a fantastic car! Such a smooth drive and easy to get a hang of despite it being my first automatic let alone electric vehicle, and I’d hardly scratched the surface on all it can do! Ordered a 85 sport line through my work fleet scheme as soon as I got home, projected delivery “late March/early April” 😁

I'm sure you'll be delighted with it. What colour did you go for? I think the first electric vehicle is a nervous decision for most people. We went for a PHEV as an interim and regretted not going full electric after the first week. Will you be able to charge at home?

I’ve gone for “Black Magic”. I’m excited for it! I’ve wanted to go electric for a while now so glad it can finally happen.

Unfortunately I can’t charge at home for now, which will make it slightly tricky (rented accommodation, about to buy so waiting before getting a home charger). However I’m quite lucky with where I work, there’s charging available at a discounted cost and I work long and many shifts so it’s almost always guaranteed to be charged 🤣

Have you checked whether there is a Cocharger host near you? Might be handy.

It's 6hrs for Intelligent Octopus Go. We use it with an Ohme charger without it communicating with the car at all.

Appreciate that Rory but, unfortunately, we don't have a Smart charger. We have a Third Rock Energy mobile charger with a 32A Commando Plug. We have PEN protection and all the goodies for safety and the charger kicks out 7.4kW so I can't really justify changing. I know I'd get an extra hour, but I wont be charging everyday. I think the rate is 1p/kWh cheaper as well, but I'd be a long time recouping £1k for a Smart charger, but thanks for pointing it out

Not through Tusker I hope. A couple of posts this week have mentioned delays with Tusker
