 thought it was a genuine question, and was gonna say exactly as you posted. :D

Is this the "pollen" filter, or is that something else?

Tis the very same. :)

looks like 12v requires a new one

I did last time I changed mine. ;)

They dont take long to get like that.

Two types are available and interchangeable.

A pollen filter, and pollen and odour filter, the latter being a little more expensive as it has a charcoal element in it.

least of my worries at the moment!!!

Will a K&N one enhance performance?

could anyone confirm that air flow direction is from passenger side towards drivers side. i.e. the mucky side is the one nearest the passenger door.

I've just took mine out and shaken out all the dead beetles, leaves, coal dust etc. and I'm not 100% sure I put it back the right way round!

Air flow is left to right.

a bit of delay between the question and the answer 12v i'm sure he will have put it back in by now , LOL

Mine will need replacing shortly and I want charcoal!!!!

Cheers

I had a leak in p/s side foot well, and the garage said it was a collection of leaves under the window wipers in the blower system for the interior heaters.

Could this be a cause of a leak in a foot well too if leaves collect or do the leaves collect before they reach the filter?

Thank you

Mike

Word of advice once you have removed the pollen filter and emptied all the leaves into your passenger footwell dont put your fans on as now I have leaves almost everywhere in car :D

Hell of a lot of leaves in there when i removed i was quite shocked!

Just cleaned mine out, bugger to get out and a pain to re-fit.

Question...

The two sliding clips on the bottom of the frame... Should they be in the open (center) or closed (outside edge) position?

You will know when you put it back, it will fall out if they aren't in the correct place:D

IIRC you push it up with the clips in the middle, then slide them both outwards, over the lips in the casing.

Gotcha, thanks...

Air flow is left to right.

What exactly does this mean?

How do you replace the air filter? How do you know which way to fit in? :(
