Open and Close "This function is unavailable"

Featured Replies

Has anyone had a similar issue with their Kamiq?

Normally, I'd have to double press to unlock and lock the car, and the headlights would stay on for a few seconds, however a single press will now lock and unlock, but now when I lock the car only the indicator lights flash.

I live in a rural area and rely on the lights staying illuminated to navigate round the car. I've never used the 'open and close' setting but now it says the function is not available.

I know the mechanics had some diagnostic tool when trying to resolve another issue with the car so i'm unsure if this has triggered it.

Have you started using the other keyfob, some settings are key specific.

If not it’s easy enough to change the settings in the infotainment screen to what you had before, or any other preference.

I do occasionally use the 'other' keybob, but mainly stick with using the same one.
Sorry, I should've been clearer but when I find 'opening and closing' in the infotainment it says 'this function is currently unavailable'.
I'm not sure if this is to do with being SE, but I can see the tab.

Actually seems I need to refer to the 'coming home' setting in the lights, which is activated fro 10 seconds but not coming on when I lock the car.
(lights are set to auto currently)

Normally only a single press on fob should lock the car. Single press then opens drivers door, double press then opens other doors and tailgate. On my car the headlights come on when it’s dark and the lights are in auto mode in daylight only the indicators flash

The "coming home" lights are sensitive to the ambient light at the time the car is locked.

Single press does lock the car, as has been said.

Having been out a bit today, the coming home function does not work in daylight on mine. My menu setting is also for 10 seconds.
