DCC noise

Featured Replies

How are people finding the noise in DCC estates?  Mine seems to thump over every small bump.

I think everyone has this issue with the DCC, but each person perceives the sound differently, and it largely depends on the type of roads they drive on.

For me, it also gets louder or quieter depending on the road condition. What’s strange is that it doesn’t seem to make noise on potholes but rather on wave-like bumps.

It's a well-known issue, the rear DC shock absorbers were changed from the twenty-second week of production, but it didn't help much and Skoda is still working on it... The Passat 2024 has the same problem.

I drove on a bad road today and came into my mind to observe the "DCC noise". With muted hifi. It was in comfort mode, the road noises from rear were a little bit higher than from the front, but it was far from annoying, strange or loud. It was definitively quieter, than my previous octavia.  My home area is full of with speed bumps, it also handling them without noise.

It was manufactured at ~cw37
