Hello to everyone, 

 

I'm fairly new to the Skoda (and VAG) family). With the family growing though and in need of a bigger second car, I found that the Mk4.5 Octavia Combi is the ideal car for me (yes the vRS is perfect as I'm a big rally fan and car enthusiast).

 

The problem I'm facing is that the Skoda dealer in Cyprus cannot (or will not) provide me with the facelift Mk4.5 Octavia vRS Combi. I am now trying to purchase the car from the UK or Ireland as I need it to be Right Hand Drive. 

 

The only deal breaker for me is that the UK spec vRS does not have the option for the RS Suedia interior (electric + Memory seats). I have spoken to the Customer Service department to see if this is final or if this option will be added in the future and they have said that they are still configurating the cars and that it is not confirmed if they will keep it like this or if they will add it. They also do not know when it will be added (if it will be added that is).

 

And so I turned to the forums. Anyone have any info on this? Anyone remember when the MK4 was introduced if it was the same situation? Any tips on how I can request this?

I asked for and got it on my Irish Mk4.5 vRS hatch, so maybe Ireland is an option for you rather than the UK.

Yeah, definitely Ireland should be your go to. As far ordering in UK at the mo, the alcantara/sueda and memory seats isn't an available option. In fact, on my new MK4.5 that was delivered yesterday which replaced a MK4, they have also totally removed the alcantara/sueda from the dash and door trims too; which I quite liked to be honest.

I am in talks with Ireland. That was

my other option. Although it adds up to be a lot more expensive they also do not have the panoramic roof and the rear airbags (Crew or side protect option I think its called) on the configurator. 
 

UK spec has all the option I want except the interior. Ireland doesn’t have the aforementioned ones.
