I am installing a dashcamera into my newly purchased Kamiq, but can not figure out how to remove the a pillar trim to ensure that the cable does not interfere with the airbag. The workshop manuals just say "Remove the clip", but do not go into any more detail than that. Does anyone have experience in removing the a pillar trim, or know how these clips work?

My only experience of this is that it was a PITA to remove without damage and I gave up before breaking something.

Edit: This was on an Octavia, but the aggro is much the same.

I suspect that once you know exactly how it comes off, it's probably a lot easier to apply force in the right place and direction to get the trim off and back on again.
