Very nice

First time iv seen one of these.... verrrrry swish.... i like it!

that's a lot more power than the quoted figure. especially given the fact the only performance part is the pipercross air filter, the milltek cat back exhaust won't give power gains, just a very very nice note.

where did you get it rr'd at?

  • Author

I got it RR'd at Marlin engineering at Milton keynes way.

I was with Seatcupra.net, but briskoda.net went previously and everyone seems happy with the results they got. The people at the rolling road claims its as accurate as can be.

The rumour was that my model was actually not detuned and had the same power as the octyvRS 2/Golf GTI.

if it makes a difference, and my understand is that it does, is that the Milltek exhaust diameter is ALOT bigger than the stock exhaust that was on there.

Standard power from the 2.0 TFSI unit produces 147 kW or 197 bhp, so the gain to 210 bhp with the modifications you have made would be more believable.

i think APR supply the maps, they aren't custom maps.

Dan

Who did the conversion and map?

Awesome GTI Des. Map is part of the APR kit.

Awesome GTI Des. Map is part of the APR kit.

Did they custom map it, sorry for all the questions.

I think Dans car may have been a bit of a development car, and is still due a map tweak - but I think the map will be an off-the-shelf one. :)

It's a shame if that's true.

385?? Seems a lot of power for whats been done.

Hi Des, it was custom for me, as they used mine to tweak the map, but no, it is an off the shelf map.

Its not an issue though, because you need to use the APR parts of the kit, so each car mod wise would be the same. So I wouldnt see any need for a custom map.
