Quaife ATB

Featured Replies

I'm planning to purchase myself a nice sparkly new Fabia vRS in the near future, and I'm also planning to commence the fettling quite soon afterward.

At present I'm thinking about:

Chip (yet to decide which, recommendations?)

EBC brakes (pads and disks)

Quaife ATB diff

Eibach spring kits.

I'm especially interested in knowing what people think of the Quaife ATB on the furby? I'm pretty sure that it's worthwhile, but without driving one with the Quaife fitted I've not really got any idea. What do people think?

If you get that done, get uprated flywheel and clutch done at the same time as it will save you a fortune on labour.

I've got it and I'm very happy with it :) - It's also worth considering putting the jabbasport rear ARB on your list for sure.

Also IMHO the ESP option is worth it as it doesn't interfere as much during normal driving most of the time, unlike the standard ASR which tends to kick in all the time if you try it on a little.

Hi Mate

Was just about to say there are a few on here who have done the Quaife diff.

It is a good mod.

I would steer clear of the Green Stuff pads though

Why steer clear of the greenstuff? My mate had a highly tuned Smart & had greenstuff, the bloody thing used to almost roll over forwards when you put the anchors on in a hurry!

Green Stuff pads are very hard and I have known them to warp the discs.

I would look at the Ferrodo DS200`s I think they re or we sell Tarrox.

Both very good pads and I would reccomend them over and above the Green ones

Sarah

Ferrodo DS2500's were my pads of choice. I ran Greenstuff's on my Scooby and they were dusty and warped the discs :( Apparently (according to EBC!) the new Greenstuff compound is better, but I've no experience of them :D

Chris

i ran greenstuff pads on my R19 and with the standard disks they were very good. they warped a pair of black diamond cross drilled disks.

with a pair of 288mm uprating disks and black stuff pads the car would do endo's
